Same deal as the keyboard. I am looking at upgrading the mouse. Please choose one from the poll, and if possible give reasons behind the decision

I have the G500 as they have discontinued the G-5. I don't like wireless when gaming and this was reasonably priced (EB Games mid year sale) and gives quite good responses. If you are hardcore you may want the G9x instead

I'm in the same boat as dead_man_walking. I broke my beloved g5 a couple months ago and got a g500 as a replacement. the g9x is nice but it's a claw mouse so it'll be suitable only if you hold your mouse like a velociraptor would. g500 has weights, braided cable, macro keys, 3 sensitivity/dpi settings and a mouse wheel that you can turn the click off of for smooth scrolling. The RAT7 or w/e is pricier and the appearance and ergonomics are not for everyone. Anyways, I recommend the g500 as it's a very nice peripheral for an awesome price.

Lachesis is shit, I was beta testing it before it was launched.

Tried the logitechs, didn't like the feel.

Currently I am using Razer Imperator. It's not too bad. I like the feel.

But my all time favorite is still the Razer Copperhead.

I suggest you actually go touch the mouse before you buy one :)

This did not mix well with shadow's earlier comment

I've got a logitech M950 which seems fine to me. It's cordless but recharges from a USB while you play if required (so is same as corded for a while). It has 4 programable thumb buttons plus a button for scroll wheel to click or free spin (good 4 sniper mode).
But as Vach said..I suggest you actually go touch the mouse before you buy one :)

Wilso likes to Touch Mice! haha. I spent ages trying to find a mouse that fits my hand right. I hold my hand on an angle and so most mice dont work for me.
I had the Lauchesis from Razer and its too straight. Cant use the buttons right coz i need to hold my hand in uncomfortable position to use it!

i smelt TOUCH.. should've known it was u shadow.

Had the G5... wanted more DPI for chopper flying.. so got the G500.
Then tried the Razer Mamba for its wireless/wired function.... felt cheap and the software was shit.

modern day wireless technology is on par with wired.... but battery life still sux..
That's why alot of the new mice are dual mode wireless/wired.

I replaced my Mamba with the logitech G700. Was a lil hard to get use to cause i'm more of a claw grip. Learnt to adapt to the palm grip though.

all those extra buttons come in handy...
pointer buttons 1/2 to up/down dpi...
thumb button 1 to knife
thumb button 2 to change to primary
thumb button 3 to change to pistol
thumb button 4 to wipe my ass

All set.

Oh middle button to touch...

I do have my eyes on the saitek RAT though.. i like the idea of a fully customizable grip mouse.
Or perhaps the Gigabyte AiVia M8600 ghost.. or whatever it's called. though i've read that the software for it sux.

Yes I remember our long conversations about mice Shadz. I put you onto the Sidewinder ;) because I hold the mouse the same way.

But unfortunately I have worn out the poor old girl, and need to find a replacement
