The Logitech G330 I heard isn't too bad. Its a smaller set and has a nice decent mic.

I don't quite remmeber about these. Maybe you can get lucky and demo a pair but I remember them being good.
I've always liked Logitech equipment. Good, notched quality.
There are "gaming" brands out there like Razer and Steelseries but I don't really know about those.
I use my listening headphones for gaming and just use a decent table mic as I have the table space for it.
Surround sound headphones are a decent way to get around producing overall positional sound on a lower cost range (in comparison to mid-end / mid-high/ high-end headphones.
