The Mark Ford Strong Legato series IP811 soft yarn marimba mallets are crafted to produce legato tones accompanied with a strong fundamental in nearly any octave. The IP811 has a slightly larger rubber core for maintaining rich volume wrapped by softer than normal yarn meant to minimize sound usually heard from the contact of the mallet to the instrument. Unfinished birch handles have a texture that is ideal for situations in which extra grip is needed. The Mark Ford Legato series has a much more soft and supple sound when compared to this Mark Ford Strong Legato series.
